Everyone so often there's one of those stories that attracts everyone's attention, and it just so happens that as I launch this blog on of those is now coming to an end.

A British teacher jailed for allowing a child to name a teddy bear Muhammad as part of a lesson was convicted of insulting religion and inciting hatred and subsequently sentenced for 15 days in jail.

As someone who takes in interest in law both personally and as I take it at A-Level understandably this is pretty interesting stuff -but what had more of an effect on me was just how oddly pathetic some people are.

I try my best to be understanding of all waves of lifestyle but there comes a point were ignoring something so poignant is just silly. Just who do these people really think they are? To convict a woman who has travelled to Sudan to help educate Sudanese children of a "hate crime" is simply pathetic, moreover it is so unbelievably rich of the the very same people who's regime allows the rape and murder of thousands in Darfur to condemn someone for insulting the so called peaceful religion of Islam.

Not only is this "insult" to the prophet a compete "mind crime" in that it would have to be invented in someone's head, it shows just how people are willing to use religion to invent prejudice in others as the majority of the Islamic have shrugged this off.

However - thankfully after first being sent to jail, Gillian Gibbons is on her way home after being granted a full pardon. Perhaps the Sudanese government were reminded about the £320+ million in aid they have received from us recently? Food for thought...

Now, I'm off to officially christen my finger nail 'Jesus'...
