Scrubs season 8 and site goings on

Posted Wednesday 30th April 2008 under The Site & Site Updates

Just fresh from the Zach Braff myspaz page with some pleasant news! Scrubs will be extended for yet another series (making it the 8th) despite what was originally said.

"I've also been stalling to talk about some big Scrubs news, however I've just been informed that I'm not allowed to talk about anything related to Scrubs and it's current fate. What I can tell you is that we are currently shooting 18 episodes for the 8th season. I am not allowed to discuss where one might watch them."

To be honest I hadn't realised season 7 had started again after all the writer strike disruptions. Time for a catch up I think.

On a site-news theme, i'm just waiting for a period of time to redo the layout really...I'm not happy with it and it doesn't even fit into 1024x* which in truth I didn't notice until told about so its got to go....but with exams and whatnot it's going to be a while before I can fit that in!

Oh and also....facebook chat....why?!

Twistori

I came across this interesting site 'twistori' thanks to Chris Pirillo's twitter and I don't know whether it's a pure jealousy of how sleek it is or a secret nosiness coming out of the woodwork but I can't help watching the scrolling messages.

The man who grew a finger

Posted Wednesday 30th April 2008 under The News

Just came across this on the telebox and thought it deserved a good old reposting here!

Rarely though do would you expect to find a medical miracle working behind the counter of the mall's hobby shop.

That however is what Lee Spievak considers himself to be.

"I put my finger in," Mr Spievak says, pointing towards the propeller of a model airplane, "and that's when I sliced my finger off."

It took the end right off, down to the bone, about half an inch.

"We don't know where the piece went."

The photos of his severed finger tip are pretty graphic. You can understand why doctors said he'd lost it for good.

Today though, you wouldn't know it. Mr Spievak, who is 69 years old, shows off his finger, and it's all there, tissue, nerves, nail, skin, even his finger print.

That's pretty astonishing stuff....although like anything new it's best not to get too excited about I guess. I can't help but wonder what would happen if some of that dust got within someone's lungs or another unwanted place.
